On December 5th, the European Landscape Contractors Association (ELCA) presents during a festive ceremony at Paysalia the winner of the ELCA Green Award. We are proud to reward this year a project in the category Green Schoolyards.
Four national members of ELCA, namely Germany, Poland, Spain and Turkiye, have nominated a project for this competition. Members of the ELCA Committee of Firms had the opportunity to vote on the project of their preference and determined thus who the winner of this year’s award is. ELCA introduced the award in 2021 to promote the innovative power of the sector and the role of the landscape and gardening professional by showcasing state of the art projects. The ELCA Green Award is a cooperation with our French member association UNEP.
The award ceremony will take place at the Agora area in the Carré des Jardiniers (Hall 6) and starts at 13.00 CET (till about 14.30 CET). In an especially for ELCA pre-recorded contribution of scientist Dr. Jolanda Maas, we learn about the benefits of green schoolyards for children at primary schools and what the role of landscapers and gardeners can be in the design, creation and maintenance of green schoolyards. After this introduction we give an overview of the competing projects and present the winner.
Curious who the winner is? We hope that you can join the award ceremony of the ELCA Green Award at Paysalia. Before and after the ceremony we also hope to meet you at the ELCA-stand which you can find in Hall 4 with number H92.
