From October 6^th till 8^th, 2026, the next edition of the international trade show Iberflora took place in Valencia, Spain. Our Spanish member Federación Española de Empresas de Jardinería (FEEJ) organized a technical workshop with different interesting speeches. ELCA was invited to explain the European lobby and the activities of the ELCA Committee of Firms.

Iberflora offered this edition again a full pallet of opportunities for networking and information. At the trade fair, a great variety of suppliers presented their products and services. Our Spanish colleagues of FEEJ added the component of knowledge sharing with a technical workshop on the first fair day. For example, Mrs Desiré Romero of the municipality of Las Palmas zoomed in on the planting of trees in the city. Landscape architect Sergio Carratalá of Mata Alta Paisajisme showed great projects about rewilding the city. ELCA-secretary general Egbert Roozen highlighted the topics on our European lobby agenda and explained how these topics are exchanged within ELCA Committee of Firms. He underlined the great greening efforts in Spain and the fact that our next professional excursions take place in Santiago de Compostela. Egbert thanked our Spanish colleagues of FEEJ already for the unique opportunity to visit innovative green projects during these excursions and to know more about the state of the art of landscape gardening in Spain.
